I really enjoyed this!  I watched the entire season tonight and am looking forward to the next one.  So nice to see so many familiar faces!

  • Shakethatthing

Intriguing series so far.  But you guys have GOT to do something about the music on this show.      I can’t STAND it.     Either that or SFN needs to find a way to be able to fast-forward through the long musical montages (which I don’t get, these episodes are only an average of 15 minutes, why waste time on that?).   Anyhow, great to see one of my faves, Julie Pinson.   She is so missed on daytime!

  • Daughterofcokie

I really hope there will be a season 2 soon! I really do.

  • CoolCountry55

Tyler and cast, congratulations.  Covering all that ground in six 15 minute sessions must’ve cost a lot of sweat equity!
the storyline is very good.  Your  characters are rich and were played masterfully by each actor.  I cannot wait to see the next season.  Hopefully it’s already in the works so that we won’t have to wait too terribly long.

Sooooo.. am I wrong or is the remains of  Beth’s Ehler’s dad in that hole she was digging in her front yard?   And,  was that an empty booze bottle I spotted  B-4 you panned to Signy’s character  lying face down on the hardwood floor just as her son’s about enter their home, or did her sister knock her out before bolting?   And wait… was that his dad that pulled up in front of the house before Signy’s son entered.. or wait, it’s her nephew, no it’s her son.. her nephew, her son.. nephew, son….. (okay this isn’t China Town)!… but it could be.  And… and…. and…?????   And what happens next?  We’re all waiting!!  GOOD JOB!

  • Sandy

WOW I can’t believe its over…S1 that is….yes it was a long time in coming together compared to other web series…BUT Tyler & Signy have something very special and unique here. Yes I will be honest…I too got very frustrated and even fed up at times with the waiting and waiting and forever waiting to see this show. The difference with me; is that I believed in this project so deeply and passionately that I knew without a doubt that is was worth the wait and worth my time spent on this journey….all 18 months of it! I do have some criticisms on a few minor technical things but over all I got to watch and experience what I was expecting…the intimate & detailed personal stories of fictional characters in a fictional town that explored very real controversial issues of today….the ones that no one wants to talk about….but we all harbor these secrets in some form or another and for fear of shame and judgement we don’t talk about the ‘taboo’ subjects in everyday life. Thanks to Tyler and his entire cast and crew and especially The SFN for being bold & fearless and giving us this gift to watch and feel with our hearts, emotions and senses! NOW bring on S2….there were too many cliff hangers and i’m ready for them to be revealed to me…..one episode at a time! Can’t wait for more story and adventures in a town called River Ridge! Thanks for the journey thus far……

Sandy, I don’t think these people are comparing RR unfavorably to daytime TV shows, since those 4 remaining shows are unwatchable. What’s left of TV soap viewers are just watching because of habit or are too lazy to look elsewhere (in addition to being apathetic). These people are negative because they feel the web is a threat to the dying TV genre. It’s not a threat, it’s reality. They better embrace it rather than fighting it because network TV has 100%  given up on the genre and this is the only place left for them.

    • Sandy

Mike your perspective may very well be dead on and I thank you for taking the time to express with words what I could not with some of mine. Watching out of habit…..that I agree with. Watching because they are too lazy…..that I don’t agree with….simply because I don’t think the word describes the situation or shall I say the passion of the daytime fan/viewer…..which I am one and have been for over 40 years. I do agree that they/we fear the loss of our beloved genre and this is it…..in a much smaller newer form than what we are used to and expect/demand from our shows. The internet is the wave of the future and The SFN knows that and seized the opportunities out there and you know what…..its here to stay…..so they might as well join up now or simply keep their negativity to themselves!

Great Show Tyler Ford. The haters on here just kill me. I think you did a fabulous job and can’t wait for the next season. You have plenty of loyal followers that get the story line and where you are going with this..Maybe the haters just need to continue to watch SpongeBob, at least they’ll understand that…

WOW !i can,t believe that i waited almost a year and a half, from the day that this series was first anounced until today six  fifteen minute episodes and its over. I had so much invested in this series, what a waste. What is really sad is that this show had everything going for it the , every single actor in this production gave an excellent performance, but the story jumped  around too much, and left unanswered questions. For a fifteen minute show, they waste a lot of time selling the weekly sound track. i did like the music , but i didnt come here for that i came to see great story telling,as soon as i started to get emotional about a storyline, the soundtrack comes on and i know that my fifteen minutes are almost up, and that i will have to wait another week or another fifteen minutes .I feel stupid. its time for me to get my life back.

    • Cupcake

      I couldn’t agree more!

    • Sandy

What exactly did you invest?  From what I know and from what I see…..nothing but a few minutes that YOU chose each week to watch. What is it that you can do with a budget and a time frame to edit from an original 9/10 episodes to only 6 episodes? Glad you liked the music even if you did find it distracting to the story being told on screen. Keep in mind this is not a fast pace or high budget daytime soap opera……..this is a small budgeted great story telling web drama series! You need to reset your mind set ….. and think on a smaller and a more detailed and intimate setting in the online web series medium! This is not the average ‘been there done that’ show……this is something new & different! Sorry you felt stupid….good luck in getting your life back.

    • CoolCountry55

Time for you to get your life back?   If your life breaks down to a mere 15 minutes out of an entire week, it doesn’t sound all that full to begin with.  And, this inquiring mind is interested in knowing what exactly did you invest in this series?  Money?  Connections?  Footwork?  Editing? Sponsership?  Promoting?  Should I go on?  And, after all is said and done, the fact that you didn’t get the season finale (which actually wrapped up each character’s season’s storyline (in a rather neat bow) despite the fact that the entire season only had a grand total of 1-1/2 hrs. in total to do so.has me convinced that “beansyorkie” has a point.. perhaps you & the other “haters” ARE better off watching something a bit easier to grasp like “Spongebob.” I found the series finale illuminating as to the direction each character is heading, and as every good soap should do, it leaves its viewers hanging on until the next season to see what becomes of each of them. If you don’t want to tune in then don’t. You’ve ALWAYS had a choice in this matter.

It has been such a rewarding journey… thank you for the overwhelming support and to those who have sent letters from around the world expressing how the simplicity resonated with you! You are brave and fearless and we hope to continue traveling this road with you!

    • Sneeks1234

Tyler this was a mess! What where you thinking? Nothing makes any sense what so ever?  I don’t even know what to say other than I just don’t get it!  I love so many of the actors Beth is my favorite, I just feel like they weren’t used in the way they should have and the story lines where so uneventful! Sorry to be so negative I just really feel let down by River Ridge and I was hoping for this to be really good and it simply wasn’t.

      • Sandy

If you want a SOAP OPERA I suggest you stick to daytime television! Or go watch reruns on YT! These (stories) are about REAL people living in a REAL world with REAL problems! Which can really be an open invitation to reach out for someone who had no place to do so before…..it starts with a conversation…..and for many this show was that starting conversation! All of the main actors were used in an equal manner through out the 6 episodes. I respect your comments…..but I feel like you were expecting a daytime soap here with River Ridge….that is just not what this show is about. I’m sorry that you felt ‘let down’!

        • beansyorkie

          Well said Sandy..

  • http://twitter.com/tvgenius05 Johnathan Lansana

What a great way to close the season it really has been amazing .. so hope we get a second season .. one just isn’t enough !!

  • Farah

I love this series.  I’m going to miss stopping in every Friday night to watch this show.  I really started watching this show because I am a huge fan of Beth Ehlers but I truly fell in love with the characters, the music, and the energy of the show.  I see how important and meaningful this series can be to myself and so many people out there.  I hope season two comes very quickly and pray all these fantastic actors stay with the show.   Meanwhile I’ll continue to support the sfn and all its wonderful online shows.

  • Lisa

Are you kidding me? WTF was that?  I watched every episode of this and none of it makes any sense at all!!!!!! What happened to the guy that was in the truck? Who’s’ that little girls father? Really? I feel like I’ve wasted my time completely!  This has to be the worst online series I’ve ever watched!  I’m truly disappointed!

    • Clari

I agree LIsa, the best part that this show finally over, I’m just out of my mind how bad this is and i think anyone that like this is crazy and don’t know what good show is!

    • beansyorkie

Then why did you waste your time watching if you didn’t like it..Just don’t get people that will invest time in something they dislike so much just so they can gripe. Why didn’t you just turn it off and be done with it..If I didn’t like the first episode doubt I would have watched the next one…

    • CoolCountry55

So, if you didn’t like it, why did you watch it?  Did someone chain you to a chair in front of a screen each week?

  • Cmac

WTF, when does the next season start???????????

    • http://twitter.com/carolanna1895 carolyn

      good luck waiting for that.
