Stewart St. John – Co-Founder – The SFN Online Television Network

 
Stewart St. John, co-founder of The SFN, is a creator, writer, director and producer. He began his professional career as a writer for Hanna-Barbera, followed by story editing and writing over 50 episodes of the Fox Kids series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. He went on to write and produce children’s animation and live-action content including Sabrina: The Animated Series for ABC, Incredible Hulk for Marvel and the Disney Channel feature film Seventeen Again. He won a Humanitas Prize for his episode of the animated series Prince Valiant.

As a story-teller, St. John creates properties that exist on multiple platforms — from television to comic books to integrated media. In the late 90s, he was part of the world’s first online network, American Cybercast. As story editor and executive producer of the groundbreaking The Spot web soap, he worked with leading advertisers to integrate storyline and products in a way never done for the web. In 2003, he and Todd Fisher revived The Spot brand with an all new cast and wrote, produced and directed over 2000 daily videos, a half-hour weekly series and held countless fan events around the country. St. John also co-created America’s first cell phone soap for SPRINT. His original series, California Heaven, is the first scripted show produced for online. He has spoken on CTIA panels around the country, and contributed to books and news articles on the subject of creating original transmedia content.

St. John is focused on creating exciting new brands for the company, including book properties, film and television franchises, new media content and music. He is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, the Recording Academy (the Grammys) and the Writer’s Guild of America, West.
